Pink, White and Green

More donated blocks have had their quilt finished today - pink and white and green ones given to me by Jo. Thanks so much, Jo!

I love making things like this that are girly and pretty, its not my usual style, so its fun to do once in a while

My name is Cathy and I am part of a small group of quilters who are making quilts for the Sandra Jones Childrens Village in Zimbabwe. This home is for girls who have been repeatedly raped in their home situations. They may be as young as 3 yrs old. The village also cares for babies who have been abandoned, many of whom are HIV positive. You can read more about this wonderful ministry on their website:

HOW YOU CAN HELP

With the quilts: We always need money for polar fleece for backing these quilts, and money to post them. Each quilt costs approximately $14 for polar fleece and $16 for postage. We also need bright pretty patchwork quality cotton, so if you are a quilter with too much fabric, please get in contact.
