Boys Quilts

Today I finished the second of the two boys quilts I've been working on. Jo donated most of the fabric for these two, as well as many to come. Thanks Jo!

Next will be two more very similar, and already begun.

Quilts by Jackie and Audrey

I just got the photos of these quilts made by Jackie and Audrey. They are a couple of our favorite patterns, that we use over and over in different fabric.

the latest quilt

Today I finished my latest quilt - the third and last of the pink, green and white ones. There's another with the pink and green reversed, and you can see the third here. Jackie began sewing a new diagonal one, also for a girl, and i began one for a boy using some of the fabric donated by my friend Jo.

Lots of fabric, and three children receive their quilts

So far we have made and sent 62 quilts to the Sandra Jones Childrens Village in Zimbabwe. We've just been given 4 bags of fabric and partially made quilts, and I've spent this week sorting and washing. Today I planned and cut two single bed quilts for little boys .

This week I also prepared a pink, green and white quilt for quilting, and quilted another from the same fabric. These are for the main group in the village - girls who have been raped repeatedly in their home situation.

And our sponsored children were given their quilts - though the camera was a bit overwhelming they were very very happy. Other quilts are waiting to be given to new owners.
