Another block swap quilt
This quilt, finished yesterday, is made from blocks swapped with an online quilters group. So its very scrappy - isnt it interesting how the diagonal patches hold it together!?

Exciting news!
Our quilting group is expanding: some of the ladies (and men if they want
;-)) of Jimboomba Christian Family Church are joining me to learn patchwork and make quilts for the Sandra Jones Centre in Zimbabwe! Its going to be fun, and we'll make some beautiful quilts to bring healing to these traumatised children.
Jackie and I have made up some partial kits for the first project, which will be a medallion quilt. I'm so looking forward to beginning!
Here's a photo of the type of quilt these first ones will be. Different fabrics of course

Another Ricky-Timms-inspired quilt
I had fun with this one. Joan sent me the lower left bright fish fabric, and it looked like it needed "convergencing". I pulled out lots of brights to go with it, and a few squares for top and bottom, and the border. I like it!

Back to the sewing rooom
I've finally got over my knee op, and finished the second of the snowball quilts made fwith the blocks from quiltwithchristnzau. Its looking good, and was so easy to make up!
Jackie and I had another productive sewing day yesterday; we pin basted two quilts, then she quilted one of them and I finished the snowball one then almost quilted another - thats eleven completed for the next posting, and another two almost done!
